07/12/2010 -
Minneapolis, MN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Minnesota Timberwolves signed center
Darko Milicic on Monday. Reports indicated it's a four-year contract worth
close to $20 million.
The team also inked 2010 first-round draft picks Wesley Johnson and Lazar
Hayward.
Milicic has bounced between five different teams since being taken second
overall by Detroit in the 2003 NBA Draft. He was dealt to Minnesota from the
Knicks in February after joining New York via a trade with Memphis last
summer. He appeared in just eight games and averaged 8.9 minutes for New
York, then started 18 of the 24 games in which he appeared for the T'Wolves
and averaged 25.6 minutes. Over that time, Milicic tallied 8.3 points, 5.5
rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.8 assists per contest.
Milicic has career averages of 5.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 369
games, 116 of those starts.
Johnson, a 6-7 forward, was the fourth overall selection. In his only season
at Syracuse, he averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.7 steals
and 1.8 blocks in 35 games. Prior to transferring to Syracuse, Johnson spent
his first two collegiate seasons at Iowa State.
Hayward was taken by the Washington Wizards with the 30th overall pick before
being dealt to the Wolves in a draft-night trade. He played in 138 games at
Marquette, averaging 13.5 points and 6.6 rebounds. He is the second all-time
leading scorer in school history.

MySportsbook.com refunds all bets on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay from NFL week one.
(September 14) – Week one of NFL action saw three teams go scoreless for the first time since 1977. Another four were unable to get a touchdown and almost half of the underdogs covered the spread. Those three teams saved bettors at MySportsbook.com from losing out completely, thanks to the company’s unique NFL Shutout Rule -- which ensures that if the team you backed goes scoreless, your wager is refunded.
Sportsbook refunded tens of thousands of dollars to customers who bet on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay, the three teams that stunk up the field so badly that their fans and backers never had a chance to get up from their couches and cheer. In the spirit of the low scoring start to the season, odds makers at the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino have set odds on how many total shutouts there will be this season.
MySportsbook.com has posted updated sports betting lines for week two of the season. Ben Roethlisberger’s health status is still questionable, so Willie Parker will try to lead Pittsburgh again as they travel to Jacksonville as a one point favorite. After beating up on his little brother last week, Peyton Manning will look to lead the Colts to victory against Houston. Indianapolis is a whopping 13.5 favorite in the match-up.
Seattle, last year’s highest scoring team, showed the power of their defense with their gritty 9-6 win in Motown over the ravenous Lions. They take their act back home to the comforts of Qwest Field where they will face the resurgent Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks are favored by a touchdown.
